Kids Jiu Jitsu Classes
Ages 4+

A lot of people talk about how to get kids to listen, pay attention, and learn in class. You’ll hear them say things like, “kids need to learn discipline”.

We use a different approach to class management based on decades of K12 teaching and research. We know that when kids are engaged in meaningful activities they stay on task. We also know that kids need space to be kids.

We teach kids how to manage their own behavior and develop leadership skills. They take ownership of their learning and behavior instead of a coach telling them what to do.

Our behavior management system balances the development of self-regulation and confidence with training that is both fun and productive. This develops a mindset and work ethic that transfers far beyond our gym walls.

We have over 20 years of experience teaching age-appropriate Jiu Jitsu in an inclusive and encouraging setting with a focus on emotional and physical safety. We are also parents of kids who train and compete.

We Rise by Lifting Others

We’ve worked to support youth for over 25 years on the east and west coast. After relocating to Pueblo West in 2020, we began looking for ways to connect with youth organization in our new community. We provide scholarships for training, gear, and competitions to ensure that every child has a chance to participate.

The Pay it Forward benefit tournaments are a way we raise funds for local youth organizations. The tournaments offer friendly competition to kids and adults. The focus is on learning from the competition experience and coming together to support our community.
