Grappling is an umbrella term for the non-striking aspects of combat sports that incorporates Jiu Jitsu, submission grappling/nogi, wrestling, and Judo. Our classes combine these martial arts to develop effective grappling skills from standing through ground engagements.
Grappling is an incredible way for kids and adults to cross train for other sports. Research shows that cross training increases your range of movement, improves agility, and sharpens your ability to organize movement patterns.
Jiu Jitsu is a great activity for kids because it helps to develop discipline, confidence, and physical fitness. In Jiu Jitsu, kids learn to defend themselves and to use leverage and technique to overcome larger opponents. This can help to boost their self-esteem and give them the skills and confidence they need to handle difficult situations. In addition, Jiu Jitsu training keeps kids physically active and mentally engaged.
We provide high quality, engaging instruction using a mix of developmentally appropriate games and live application of technique. Kids are monitored closely to maintain a safe training environment. Our curriculum includes life skills components as well.
